50 Years of Brotherhood

8–10 May 2026

For 50 years, SLM has been a club for leather and fetish men. An important voice in the queer community in Oslo, Norway, and internationally. Now we invite you to an anniversary weekend marking five decades of history, courage, and passion. And setting the tone for the next fifty. This will be a celebration of the community, the people, and the moments that have shaped the club. Whether you have been with us from the beginning, found your way to us more recently, or are curious about who SLM Oslo really is, this is a weekend you do not want to miss.

The anniversary weekend showcases the full spectrum of what SLM Oslo is about. We begin with an anniversary dinner on Friday evening, gathering around the table before the pace picks up. Later, the night continues with a pre-party in the club’s own premises. On Saturday, we invite you to a city walk that takes us through the club’s history and Oslo’s queer life, before the weekend truly reaches its peak.

The highlight is Valhall at Betong, Chateau Neuf – a major anniversary celebration featuring international DJs, a darkroom, and hundreds of fetish men from around the world. The space fills with energy, encounters, and moments that leave a mark. On Sunday, we gather again for brunch in the city and a Fetish Social at the club. A weekend to celebrate who we have been, who we are, and everything that still lies ahead.

Did you know that one of the first SLM trips was to Berlin at Easter 1976?

Did you know that we were appointed “Æresbamse 2020” and received the award from Prime Minister Erna Solberg?

Did you know that the oldest parts of our basement date back to 1666?

Did you know that we were involved in establishing Helseutvalget?

Did you know that when the HIV epidemic was at its worst, the membership list was burned out of fear that the authorities might seize it?

Did you know that we once had a phone number members from other clubs could call if they needed accommodation, and they would be hosted by local members?
